Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 7 <br /> June 8, 1998 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Horseshoe Bend Way and Tritown Circle Re tdents r : Various Issas: <br /> Mr. Dellagala indicated that Horseshoe Bend Way is in need of repair. <br /> At this time, he is trying to gain neighborhood consensus and support to <br /> fund necessary road repairs. He requested the Board provide temporary <br /> assistance. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to consult the Police and Fire Chief regarding <br /> the safety of the subject road. Mr. Taylor, the Director of Public Works will <br /> be requested to provide a cost analysis to assist with necessary repairs. <br /> Town Counsel will be consulted with respect to the definition of a public way. <br /> It was noted that Horseshoe Bend Way is a private dirt road. Several residents <br /> claim that their deeds state that the road is a public way. <br /> Chief Przybylek will be requested to review the dedicated service to this area, <br /> and provide the Board with information relative to this regard to inform the area <br /> residents. It was noted that many residents feel they are disenfranchised from <br /> the Town of Mashpee as a result of their neighborhood site location. <br /> COMMUNICATIONRRE P NDEN <br /> Letter of Appreciation for DPW Efforts: <br /> Correspondence was received from Lauren Bartlett-Cahill, 24 Sheffield Place, <br /> Mashpee in appreciation to the Department of Public Works for their recent <br /> clean-up efforts. <br /> Capp Cod Pathways: <br /> Selectman Caffyn indicated that the Town of Mashpee received the sum of <br /> 550,000 in grant funds for open space purchases. Tom Fudala was <br /> recognized for his grant writing to gain funding for the Town for the purchase <br /> of the Fitch and McDonald properties. <br /> I <br /> i <br /> r <br />
