i <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 6, 1998 <br /> APPONMEWNISAM HE <br /> i n - 11f h e Regulations and License Prgced=sp <br /> (continued) <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the hearing to obtain comment. <br /> Steve Cadrin, Chairman of the Shellfish Commission indicated that the <br /> review process and regulations give a balance to protect Mashpee's <br /> waterways and to promote shellfish. <br /> It was noted that the Shellfish Commission voted to recommend approval. <br /> The Harbor Master concurs with the recommendations as presented. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Marsters requested a vote to close <br /> the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille abstained. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Shellfish Aquaculture <br /> Regulations and License Procedure Revisions as amended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> : Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down. <br /> E warBaker-Petition PrDhibiting All Dr d 'n in Po B ' <br /> Mr. Edward Baker of Captains Row presented a petition to the Board <br /> consisting of 310 signatures requesting that all dredging within Popponesset <br /> Bay be prohibited until remedial measures have been taken for the Mashpee <br /> and Santuit Rivers. <br /> In addition, a memo relative to the Mashpee River flushing and dredging <br /> was presented to the Selectmen. <br /> *Agenda item,next meeting. Additional review from the Waterways <br /> Commission with respect to this regard. <br />
