1� <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, JUNE 11 , 1990 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> #3 (Cont. ) <br /> Mr. Lawrence moved that David Fisher be appointed as clerk <br /> of the works for the Police Station Addition Project as <br /> recommended by the Committee. Mr. Hanson seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> The Board suggested that the Committee provide a monthly <br /> update. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> I . ESTATE OF GERTRUDE RUFFIN - Mr. Gottlieb moved to instruct <br /> the Town Treasurer to release to the Estate of Gertrude <br /> Ruffin all of the funds being held in escrow as a result of <br /> the January, 1989 Govan taking as recommended by Assistant <br /> Town Counsel in her letter of May . 24, 1990. Mr. Hanson <br /> seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> 2 . JULY 1 ASSESSMENT DATE - The. Board received a response from <br /> Town Counsel relative to the July 1 Assessment Date. Mr. <br /> Reardon's interpretation of the action is such that <br /> permitted discretion on the part of the Assessors may solve <br /> the problem and avoid the need for Town Meeting action, <br /> special legislation, etc. <br /> Mr. Carter directed Mr. Harrington to prepare an article <br /> for the next Special Town Meeting to rescind the vote. <br /> I <br />
