There is <br /> negative impact on the water .quality of the area, to the beach <br /> area, traffic problems would arise with increased density and <br /> two proposed lots .are within 400' of the water. They urge the <br /> Selectmen to oppose. <br /> Mr. Reardon states the distinction between the HOP state <br /> program vs. .the Ch. 40B comprehensive permit application. (anti <br /> snob zoning) If the Board of Selectmen do not approve the project, <br /> it is not fa.tal. to the development. <br /> Selectman Jacobson advised for input form the Cape Cod <br /> Commission. <br /> Selectman Lawrence made the motion for the Board of Select- <br /> men to not support the HOP (home ownership program) at 23 units. <br /> Selectman Jacobson seconded the rmotion. The Selectmen are advised by <br /> Town Council to ' withdraw from voting at this time. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb recommended the Board of Selectmen to <br /> continue discussions and advisory of the board with the project. <br /> The Board of Selectmen expect to hear from them. Selectman. Jacob-• <br /> son agrees, Selectman Lawrence is opposed and Selectman Hanson is <br /> opposed to .the 23 units. <br /> Jane Labute re: House Numberin <br /> Due to a comment from Selectman Hanson, Ms. Labute walked out <br /> on her appointment with the Selectmen. <br /> Chairman Carter asked the board's administrative secretary, <br /> Joyce Mason to send a letter of apology to Ms. Labute. <br /> Continuance of Liouor License Hearing: BLA. Inc. d/b/a Deer Croosi_ng Mkt, <br /> The request is for a seasonal all alcohol package store license. <br /> They run a convience store with a snack bar. The store also recycles. <br /> Five to eight feet of of store would occupy the liquor ,area as a <br /> v convience .to the customers states Mr. Beecy. <br /> There are two openings for the town to approve and distribute, <br /> The motion was made by .Selectma.n Hanson to deny the permit for <br /> the license. He does not believe their is a public need to . -the <br /> proximity of a liquor store. in the area. The Selectmen vote 2 in <br /> favor and two opposed. Another motion was made by the Selectmen <br /> with 3 in favor of the .r�oi�a� , and 2 opposed. <br /> The applicants may return at a later date for approval. <br /> Jane Labute re: House Numbering: <br /> Selectman. Hanson has stepped down for this matter since Ms. <br /> Labute has returned for her hearing. <br />
