The budget will cover the amount of <br /> $17,531. 75 for the change .order. <br /> Ethier states the building is progressing smoothly with approx-` <br /> imately 55% of the work completed with the building. There is <br /> $26, OOO left in the contingency fund for this .project. <br /> Selectman Hanson made the motion to accept change order #3 <br /> for the sum of $17, 531o75. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. <br /> The vote of the Selectmen is unanimous. <br /> Coom.bs 'School re : Change Order #25: <br /> The request for change order #25 for the Coombs School will <br /> subtract $19, 300 from the contract total. . This will almost elimatei, <br /> Eastern from- the contract. <br /> Selectman Hanson made the motion to accept change order #25 <br /> as read. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote ' is unanimous. <br /> Acceptance of Athletic Field Bid: <br /> Chairman Ferguson of the' School Building Committee expressed <br /> the need for additional ball and soccer fields. The money is in <br /> the contingency fund and if it' s not done now, we 'will never do it <br /> he states. <br /> The low bidder is Bonito Construction of Falmouth with a bid <br /> price of $3'7, 300 for option #2 with 5" of loam. The contractor <br /> will start the work next week if approved and states that now is <br /> the time 'to seed. <br /> Dr. DeMoura notes that with the building of the Coombs School, <br /> the girl' s . soccer field was shortened since a septic system was <br /> placed there. . This is not a new project. The committee did not <br /> know if there. was any money left for funding. No other projects <br /> are planned. <br /> Kevin Harrington states the fire department requests paved <br /> areas behind the school for children to be located in case of an <br /> emergency. <br /> The School Building Committee is opposed to this. Mr. Ferguson <br /> will meet with the Fire Department on Thursday to discuss this need. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to accept the athletic <br /> field bid. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The vote of <br /> the three members is unanimous with Selectman Lawrence obstai.ned. <br /> Application of Hayden Building Moyers: <br /> Hayden Building Movers would like to move a building on .August <br /> 22nd from Barnstable to Popponesset Inn. All paper work is in order. <br /> Selectman Hanson made the motion to grant the move of the 16x12 <br /> building weighing 4 tons. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. <br /> The vote of the Selectmen is unanimous. <br />
