BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page .b MINUTES TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1990 - REGULAR SESSION DPW re: New Permits: Mr. Virgilio presented a draft on new permit proposals. The numbers reflect the true costs to the town. Selectman Lawrence feels this is a good beginning to establish a fee for the work required by the DPW. The Board approves. DPW re : State Aid Highway Work: Selectman Gottlieb made the motion to accept the state highway work under the provisions of Chapter 90. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The Board votes in favor. Board . of Appeals- re; Appointment-of an Associate Member: The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to appoint B. Thomas Christian of Mashpee . as an associate member of the Board of Appeals for the balance of the. fiscal year. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The vote of the Board is unanimous. Communication from HUD: There are no comments From the Board this time on section 213 ( c ) FY91 Cherry Sheet: Kevin Harrington has submitted a copy of the FY91 Cherry Sheet. The net loss from FY90 is approximately $155, 000. This is due primarily from the County Tax increase and lack of state funding and the Mosquito Control Project increase. Selectman Hanson commented on the Mosquito Control Project. ' He is not opposed to the increase, but would like to know what areas and when the spraying is done, Kevin Harrington will check on this issue. The Board approves. Memo re:_ Resignation: Selectman Lawrence made the motion to approve the resignation of Mr. Tony Fiorentini as a member of the Waterways Committee. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The Board votes in favor of the above resignation. Memo from Fire Chief re: Step Increases: Selectman Gottlieb made the motion to approve the step increase of firefighter Kevin Healy from step 2 to step 3� Mr. Castello : l to 2. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The Board favors the motion. Approval of Coin-Electric Petition #9873: The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve Com-Electric ' s Plan, #9873 . Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The Board is in favor of the approval.
