2. Limit the size of the room to less than 150 sq ft. Provide a single <br /> access/egress door opening protected with a listed l /z hour fire <br /> ~Y+ door assembly. The door shall be arranged to swing out in the <br /> direction of egress and also be self closing and/or automatic <br /> closing. <br /> 3. Provide a Minimum 6" liquid curbing around the interior perimeter <br /> of the room including the door opening. The curbing and floor shall <br /> both be liquid tight. <br /> 4. Provide low level mechanical ventilation at rate of 1 CFM/sq ft of <br /> floor area(minimum 150 CFM regardless of room area)). The <br /> ventilation system shall be arranged to exhaust within 12" of the <br /> floor one side of the room and low level make up air supply or <br /> inlets on the opposite side of the room (full area sweeping). Low <br /> level make up air registers in the rated wall assemblies shall be <br /> provided with 1 '/2 hr damper assemblies. The exhaust system shall <br /> meet the requirements of NFPA 91. <br /> 5. All electrical Equipment at the lower 11 ft (8 ft above drum <br /> opening) of the room shall be Class 1 Division 1. Electrical <br /> equipment above 11 feet shall be Class 1 Division 2 minimum. <br /> 6_ A Class 1 Division 1 horn/strobe and pull station shall be provided <br /> immediately adjacent the access/egress door. <br /> 7. Provide full Automatic Sprinkler per Extra Hazard Group II <br /> Criteria (NFPA 13) and Table 4.8.2(b)of NFPA 30. Standard <br /> response "K" 8 or 11.2 orifice heads, at 1.00 sq ft/head maximum <br /> spacing shall be designed to deliver'a .45 gpm/sq ft density over the <br /> entire area of the room. A control valve, located outside of the <br /> room, to isolate sprinklers in the storage room shall be provided. <br /> 8.- The maximum quantity of liquids stored in the room shall not <br /> exceed 5 gal/sq ft of floor area and drums shall not be stores more <br /> than one high (Section& Table 4.4.4.2 of NFPA 30). Based on the <br /> 140 sq ft room expected the total quantity shall not exceed 700 <br /> gallons. Maximum container size is 60 gallons. <br /> 9. Provide an electrical bonding system for all drums and containers <br /> being dispensed too.
