i <br /> Section 3. Whenever a vacancy shall occur in the membership of the <br /> Council, by reason of death, resignation, inability to act or for any other <br /> reason, the vacancy shall be filled by appointment by the Selectmen for <br /> the remainder of the term. <br /> Section 4. The Council on Aging at its first annual meeting and there- <br /> after, annually in April of each year, shall elect from its membership a <br /> President, 1st Vice President,2nd Vice President,Secretary,and Treasurer. <br /> Each officer shall hold office until the next annual election.In the event a <br /> vacancy occurs in any of the offices above,the Council shall hold a special <br /> meeting for the purpose of electing one of its members to fill such vacancy. <br /> Section 5. The Council shall prepare and submit an annual report of <br /> its activities to the Town and shall send a copy thereof to the Commission <br /> on Aging. <br /> Section 6. The Council may appoint such clerks and other employees <br /> as it may require without compensation. <br /> Article X. Conservation Commission <br /> Section 1. A Conservation Commission shall be established under the <br /> provisions of General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 8C, and all amendments <br /> thereof. ' <br /> Section 2. No land acquired by the Town through tax title proceedings l <br /> shall be sold or otherwise disposed of until it shall have first been deter- <br /> mined by a vote at a Town Meeting whether or not said land shall be held <br /> by the Town as Conservation Land, with the custody and control thereof <br /> being transferred to the Conservation Commission for all purposes in- <br /> cluded in Section 8C of Chapter 40 of the General Laws as it now reads or <br /> may hereafter be amended; shall be held by the Town for some other <br /> municipal purpose. <br /> Section 3. The Conservation Commission may require the posting of a <br /> bond with surety, running to the municipality, and sufficient as to form <br /> and surety in the opinion of the Commissions' Counsel,to secure faithful <br /> and satisfactory performance of work required by any final "Order of <br /> 13 <br />
