i <br /> hours, overtime, vacations, leave for sickness, military service,jury duty, <br /> bereavement, leave of absence, tenure,group insurances, and any other <br /> matter properly includable as personnel policy which shall be applicable to <br /> those employees subject to the employee classification plan described in <br /> paragraph A herein. <br /> Such rules and regulations shall become effective upon their promul- <br /> gation by the Personnel Board and approval by the Board of Selectmen <br /> and shall be consonant with those in effect by private industry and other <br /> Massachusetts governmental units. <br /> Article XII. Historic Commission <br /> Section 1. The Selectmen shall appoint an Historic Commission under <br /> Chapter 40, Section 81), to consist of three members. One member for a <br /> period of one year, one member for a period of two years, and the third <br /> member for three years. A new member to be appointed each year by the <br /> Selectmen to replace the member whose term expires. <br /> Section 2. The function of the commission is to preserve, restore and <br /> maintain the historic features of the Town of Mashpee, and to perform <br /> any other functions provided by law by such bodies. <br /> Article XIII. General Provisions <br /> Section 1. At any Town Meeting, when special committees are ap- <br /> pointed or elected, a vote shall be passed naming the compensation of the <br /> committee and also a sum of money for expenses of such committee; <br /> otherwise, the Selectmen shall not draw orders on the Treasurer for either j <br /> services or expenses. <br /> Section 2. All departments are authorized and empowered to consult <br /> counsel at any time in connection with their duties. <br /> Section 3. Funds belonging to the Town in the hands of the Tax Col- <br /> lector shall only be withdrawn from the bank on orders countersigned by <br /> at least two of the Selectmen. <br /> 15 <br /> i <br /> I <br />
