i <br /> Article XV. Transportation Regulations <br /> Section 1. No elected officer of the Town of Mashpee,except a mem- <br /> ber of the Board of Assessors and Agents of Boards and Inspectors, shall <br /> receive any compensation for transportation within the limits of the Town. <br /> Section 2. When any officer or member of any board,paid or unpaid, a <br /> is called upon to go to any point outside the Town of Mashpee on official <br /> business connected with the duties of his office,he shall be entitled to re- <br /> ceive pay on the following basis: If he travels by rail,water,bus,plane or <br /> any public transportation,he shall be allowed the amount of his fare. If he <br /> travels by private motor vehicle, he shall be allowed the rate of 12 cents <br /> per mile of travel. <br /> Section 3. Where it is necessary to transport by automobile or truck <br /> any laborers employed by any department of the Town,(a)the expense in- <br /> curred shall be charged in as "transportation of labor";(b)all charges for <br /> transportation of labor shall be made on the basis of so much per hour or <br /> per day for the actual time consumed by the conveyance in transporting <br /> the labor; (c) all expenses for transportation of labor shall be charged <br /> against the appropriation for that departmental work on which the trans- <br /> ported laborers are employed. <br /> Section 4. Any automobile or truck employed by the Town and carry- <br /> ing one or more laborers whose work is connected directly with the opera <br /> tion of the truck, or any apparatus or materials carried by the truck,shall <br /> be charged under "trucking" at so much per hour or day,and shall not be <br /> entitled to any additional charges for transportation of labor or materials. <br /> Article XVI. Annual Town Audit <br /> Section 1. There shall be an annual audit of the Town's Accounts un- <br /> der the supervision of the Director of Accounts of the Department of Cor- <br /> porations and Taxation in accordance with the provisions of Section 35, yy <br /> Chapter 44,General Laws. i <br /> 17 <br /> I' <br />
