There is some minor brush clearing on the <br /> north end of the lot where the carport number one array will be installed. There are <br /> no issues with storm water runoff associated with the brush clearing. There will be <br /> one storage unit installed at the front end of the lot and the connection to the poll <br /> located on Falmouth Road. <br /> David Morris, Building Commissioner <br /> Mr. Morris asked for an explanation of the height waiver. Ms. Costello said the bylaw <br /> allows for carports up to a minimum of 15 ft., and she is asking between the ranges <br /> of 14 ft. up to 22 ft. for the RV and boat storage. <br /> Joseph Peltier, Fire Chief <br /> Mr. Peltier asked where the solar arrays will be located. Ms. Costello said that there <br /> is one in the rear of the existing storage facility and the other is on the side yard. <br /> Ms. Costello said that the final structure design plans have not been created yet. <br /> Mr. Peltier said that the ground cover must be hard packed gravel. <br /> Mr. Peltier asked where the equipment will be located. Ms. Costello said that the <br /> equipment unit will be mounted in the front end of the lot just toward the east <br /> between the tree line and office building. There will be just one battery unit about <br /> 3,000 kilowatts. Mr. Peltier asked if there is a fire suppression system for the battery <br /> storage. Mr. Serber said yes; there is a two-part system, a non-toxic aerosol and a <br /> dry dispense system. The battery storage unit size will be 8 ft. by 15 ft. Mr. Peltier <br /> mentioned he has concerns with the access, and will need to see more design plans. <br /> Mr. Peltier asked if the owner of the storage business was proposing this project. <br /> Ms. Costello said that the solar carports are being leased by NextGrid. The only <br /> fencing will be installed around the construction area with a Knox box. <br /> Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br /> Ms. Laurent asked what drainage system exists and what is being proposed. She <br /> asked about the storm water report. She asked about the plan change in the <br /> property line from Industrial Drive and Falmouth Road. Ms. Laurent mentioned that <br /> there is a very serious issue with water runoff onto Industrial Drive, and asked that <br /> this be addressed to keep it from getting worse. <br /> 2 <br />
