Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> t <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> State comes in and they put the pump stations through their paces with clearwater, not wastewater. <br /> Phase 1A is under construction with the piping in the ground. Ms.Tripp went on to highlight what is <br /> needed to put Phase 1 System into Activation.The WRRF needs to be accepted by DEP, Pump Stations <br /> need to be accepted by DEP, Collection System needs to be accepted by the Town, there needs to be <br /> Operation staff in place,the System Supports need to be in place and customers need to be connected. <br /> Chair Harris asked Ms.Tripp what is meant by the collection system that needs to be accepted by the <br /> Town. Ms.Tripp explained that is part of the upcoming explanation that she will go through. <br /> (PowerPoint) <br /> WRRF Accepted by DEP—DEP gives their approval for the operation of the system <br /> • Planned for April/May (Phase 1) <br /> o Install MBR Units <br /> o Check out secondary/tertiary treatment <br /> o Test secondary/tertiary system <br /> o Train for secondary/tertiary equipment <br /> o Test runs for the clearwater test <br /> • DEP Clearwater Test—May 20, 2025 <br /> o Demonstrate entire plant operation <br /> o Equipment functions <br /> o Instruments function <br /> o Alarms function <br /> o Communications function <br /> o Safety feature's function <br /> Chair Harris asked Ms.Tripp if the committee wanted to visit the plant, who should they contact. Ms. <br /> Tripp replied Frank Woodhall is usually at the plant. Ms. Tripp went on to state that a successful water <br /> test is required for DEP approval to accept wastewater and pump stations also need to be accepted by <br /> DEP. <br /> (PowerPoint) <br /> Pump Stations Accepted by DEP <br /> • Planned for April/May (Phase 1) <br /> o Complete communication system <br /> o Walkthrough to develop punch lists <br /> o Substantial Completion <br /> • DEP Clearwater Test—April 7, 2025 <br /> o Demonstrated both PSs operation <br /> ■ Demonstrated both Falmouth Road and Mashpee Neck pump station <br /> o Equipment functions—OK <br /> o Instruments function—OK <br /> o Alarm function—one failed <br /> o Communication—not yet <br /> ■ Still working with Open Cape <br /> o Safety feature's function—OK <br /> Chair Harris asked Ms.Tripp to clarify what the Communication Function meant. Ms.Tripp explained <br /> that if something was alarmed,you would see it at the PLC and plant and whomever is on call,they <br /> would get an alarm to check it out. The "brains" of the whole system is the SCADA System (Supervisory <br /> Control and Data Acquisition)that resides at the plant. Mr. Nair asked Mr. Meader if the manufacturers <br />
