Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> t <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> (PowerPoint) <br /> Current Schedule for WRRF Startup—reported January 2025 <br /> Changes: Clearwater test will now happen at the end of May(instead of projected early April) because <br /> Veolia,who is providing the equipment, stated that they needed three weeks instead of one. <br /> (PowerPoint) <br /> Phase 2 Rapidly Approaching the Bid Phase <br /> • Design is wrapping up on six (6) construction contracts <br /> o Contract 1—WRRF Improvements (equipment, one sludge tank, new Administration <br /> Building) <br /> o Contract 2—Collection System Pump Stations (six submersible stations similar to Phase <br /> 1) <br /> o Contract 3—Collection System South (low pressure system in Pirate Cove's area) <br /> o Contract 4—Collection System South (gravity and low pressure) <br /> o Contract 5—Collection System North (gravity and low pressure) <br /> o Contract 6-Collection System North (gravity and low pressure) <br /> • Other items required to obtain Permission to Advertise from DEP/SRF (State Revolving Fund) <br /> people at DEP <br /> o Easements—Currently in production—Anticipated complete by May 15, 2025 <br /> o Groundwater Discharge Permit Modification coming from DEP and adding four(4) more <br /> beds-Anticipated May 30, 2025 <br /> o Permits in the works: Mass Historical; MEPA (Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act); <br /> National Heritage -Anticipated May 15, 2025 <br /> o Conservation Commission and Local Permits -Anticipated May 15, 2025 <br /> Permission to Advertise—May 30, 2025 (earliest)—driven by the Groundwater Discharge Permit <br /> Modification <br /> (PowerPoint) <br /> Once permission is given to advertise,then bidding can start <br /> Bidding Schedule <br /> • Aggressive Schedule <br /> • SRF Deadline is June 30, 2025, for Contract Execution <br /> o 4-6 weeks with seven (7) bid openings during this time frame <br /> • SRF extended the deadline until August 30, 2025 <br /> • This schedule meets the August 30, 2025, deadline <br /> Chair Harris asked if this schedule is to make sure that the Sewer Commission is in line with the SRF <br /> Funding. Ms.Tripp answered yes.There is a $96.1M fund and what is needed at that time are the bids in <br /> hand, recommendations award from GHD,total budgetary for the $96.1M—including the six(6) <br /> contracts, engineering agreements, budget for police details, budget for utility coordination, etc. If it is <br /> over$96.1M, then there needs to be additional funding in place. Vice Chair Towle asked why there were <br /> four(4) linear contracts. Ms.Tripp stated that it is a very big project with a lot of piping. Mr. Nair asked if <br /> it is desirable to have four(4) different contractors. Ms.Tripp and Mr. Meader answered yes and that it <br /> would be a challenge and coordination (especially at South Sandwich/Cotuit Road) so Main Roads/ <br /> Side Roads. <br />
