Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> t <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> ■ Draft was received May S, 2025 <br /> ■ Final permit after public review <br /> o Mass Historical; MEPA; National Heritage —Anticipated May 30, 2025 <br /> o Conservation Commission and Local Permits—Anticipated May 30, 2025 <br /> ■ Draft of the Order of Conditions is complete, and final is expected by end <br /> of May 2025 <br /> ■ Chair Harris asked about the Historical Society and Conservation <br /> Commission permits and why they were needed. <br /> ■ Mr. Drainville answered that Mass Historical permit is needed for any SRF <br /> project and there is a "historical investigation" that is done of the <br /> property with the Native American population. <br /> ■ Permission is required from the MA Historical Society to proceed with an <br /> SRF financed project. <br /> ■ Mr. Drainville went on to say, regarding the Conservation Commission, <br /> that permission is needed if there is going to be dewatering that occurs <br /> (when digging for pumping stations) and the water that comes out of the <br /> ground needs to be handled in a certain way. Work in buffer areas needs <br /> to be approved by the Conservation Commission. <br /> ■ Permission for permits have been approved by the Conservation <br /> Commission and their draft Order of Conditions has been received <br /> Bidding Schedule <br /> • SRF Deadline—June 30, 2025, for Contract Execution <br /> o Groundwork District Permit did not come in in enough time, so SRF extended the <br /> deadline until August 30, 2025 <br /> o District Permit should becoming in the middle of June 2025 <br /> • Schedule meets August 30, 2025, deadline <br /> • Mr. Nair asked if the selection of a contractor is based on the lowest bid. Mr. Drainville <br /> answered that it was. <br /> Sewer Commission Support is Requested to Meet the Bid Schedule <br /> • Sign Easements <br /> o Required for Permission to Advertise <br /> o Will require coordination as each Commissioner needs to sign them <br /> • Approve Recommendation to Award <br /> o Required for Authorization to Award (ATA) <br /> o The Phase 2 Team will present options for the award of the six contracts to the <br /> Sewer Commission <br /> o The Sewer Commission needs to accept or modify the recommendation to award <br /> o GHD and the Town can then get the packages to DEP formally requesting the <br /> ATA <br /> • Approve Professional Services Contracts <br /> o Required for Authorization to Award <br /> o These formal approvals may require a special meeting for presentation <br />
