Mr. Meader answered that it is not off the table, however, it will be used to house the <br /> equipment for the building of the new police station. It is a "temporary site". Temporary <br /> fencing for the boats for the natural resources. It is just a piece of the tower property that is <br /> being temporarily used while the new police station is being built. <br /> Chair Harris asked if the new small system was going to be an "amphidrome system" and if this <br /> is the best technology for this cluster system. Mr. Drainville answered that is the technology <br /> that would achieve the goals. He also stated that there is a similar municipal system going into <br /> Wellfleet and it is going to bid shortly. <br /> Mr. Nair asked, in terms of a block diagram, is the cluster system a lot different from a <br /> traditional system that is in place. Mr. Drainville stated that the functionality is the same, but <br /> the size difference is drastic. He went on to say that this is the first time DEP is funding a project <br /> for both phosphorous removal and nitrogen removal treatment. Mr. Drainville answered this is <br /> the first time for municipal treatment. There is one in Harwich for phosphorus removal. Mr. Drainville <br /> answered that one is almost ready and the other over the summer. <br /> Mr. Lyons asked how does the State control what goes into the pipes volume-wise? Mr. <br /> Drainville answered that there is a rate for sand beds and subsurface disposal. <br /> SOLE Sourcine <br /> Mr. Meader stated that one of the ways that is being researched to save the Town money is <br /> trying to limit the different types of equipment that are in the facility. He states that he is <br /> identifying the items that need to remain the same as what was used in Phase 1 and those <br /> items will be sole-sourced. He went on to give examples of different equipment. <br /> Mr. Meader stated that when it is sole-sourced, it will need to be signed by the Commissioners <br /> as part of the packet. He wanted to let the Commissioners know that it was coming and that <br /> when it is presented, hopefully the process would be sped up. Mr. Drainville state that it will be <br /> a letter with justification on "why".
