MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> JULY 9, 2025 <br /> He said that if a motion to approve is made that one of the conditions would be <br /> to make sure that there is a sound proofing method in place. <br /> Mr. Blaisdell stated that a condition could be a sound proofing plan approved <br /> by the Building Commissioner. Mr. Morris agreed. <br /> Mr. Furbush asked if the dogs are separated during the night. Ms. Toni said; <br /> yes, they are single use kennels as depicted in the floor plan. <br /> The Board asked if there is a regulation limit of the number of dogs allowed in <br /> a kennel. Mr. Morris said that there is another facility that provides up to 40 <br /> dogs. <br /> The Board asked the applicant if she would agree to the Board if the application <br /> is approved to condition the number of dogs allowed to be no more than twelve <br /> (12) at any given time. She agreed to that. <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked Ms. Toni how many shelters has she provided. She mentioned <br /> that she works with the humane society, and that she fosters all across the <br /> State. She is licensed with the Mass Department of Agriculture, and has to <br /> renew her license every year, and the animal control officer and police <br /> department inspects the facility upon renewal of the license every year. <br /> Mr. Reidy asked how the process works. Ms. Toni said that most of the dogs <br /> are brought from the southern states and are quarantined for 48 hours under <br /> the requirement of the State of Massachusetts. The facility is located in <br /> Dartmouth, Mass. The dogs are then brought to a foster care home, and an <br /> interested family will meet the dog at the foster care's home. <br /> The Board confirmed there is plenty of parking for the unit. <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked the audience for comments. <br /> Mr. Roy Richie owner of multi-state restoration business who is a direct abutter <br /> and owns three units on Nicolett's Way. He has concerns with potential noise, <br /> and is not in favor of the modification. <br /> 10 <br />
