Minutes of Meeting
Plan Review Committee
Tuesday, May 20, 2025
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Catherine Laurent, DPW Director
Ms. Laurent has a concern regarding the new lot that was created abutting
Industrial Drive. There's a mound that straddles the property line, and not sure if
at some point when that lot is developed if there will be an issue with the subject
property.
Ms. Costello said that southern lot and northern lot are the same property owner
and there will be a lease agreement associated with the project. There is no
information what the use will be for the new lot.
David Morris, Building Commissioner
Mr. Morris asked if that lot will be used as a staging area during construction. Ms.
Costello said there will be a fence installed around the perimeter around the
southern property. Mr. Morris asked if the vehicles and equipment will be entering
and existing from Rte. 28. Ms. Costello said; correct.
Mr. Morris thought that Industrial Drive would be better access. Ms. Costello said
that they would have to remove the fencing and create a road way. Ms. Costello said
that there is not a lot of traffic associated with the project. Mr. Morris thought that
entering and exiting onto Rte. 28 would cause vehicle congestion.
Drew McManus, Conservation Agent
Mr. McManus wanted to know if an analysis of the depression area was to see if
there were any wetland conditions. Ms. Costello said that LEC did the analysis and
confirmed there is no issue and provided a letter in the Storm Water Report,
Appendix B.
Zack Seabury, Health Agent
Mr. Seabury said that the applicant addressed his issue with the as-built of the
septic system to the platform for the generator, and the water runoff of the southerly
area.
Joseph Peltier, Fire Chief
Chief Peltier submitted his requirements:
• Knox Box Location: Final placement to be determined in the field.
• Fencing Around Battery Storage Containers: To be installed as required;
exact configuration will be confirmed on site.
• Standpipe Location: To be coordinated and finalized in the field.
2
