The DPW will move the furniture, then the carpet company will install. During <br /> renovation, the Children's Room will remain closed. The Program Room and Events <br /> Room will be used for storage at that time. <br /> Children's Room <br /> Further discussion progressed about the moving and storing of items. Going <br /> forward, carpet tiles will be utilized to alleviate the need to move furniture. The staff <br /> working in the Children's Room would like to switch out the lime green on the walls <br /> for a cool tranquil blue. When it comes to design, the Library Director is avoiding <br /> colors that appear like a gaming arcade or doctor's office, while keeping in mind <br /> sensory concerns, and no cartoon characters. <br /> The new Children's Room Librarian started last month. <br /> Computer use for this age group was asked about, as there are 8 computers wired <br /> into the flooring of the Children's Room. The Library Director noted they are not <br /> being used for homework. The number of computers in the Children's Room may <br /> decrease. Could that space be better utilized? One member provided the concept of <br /> a learning or tablet station. <br /> Signage was ordered for the new fence area outside the Children's Room. Recently, <br /> dogs have been seen in the enclosure. The space is not reservable. A lock will be <br /> added to both gates. The space cannot be in use while the library is closed, and <br /> there is to be no climbing on the fence.
