The new state code requires all short-term rental properties to be inspected <br />by a building official. A building official is defined in M.G.L Title XX Chapter 143, Section 3. Per <br />the 780 CMR Table 110, these rentals are to be inspected, at a minimum, once per year by the <br />Building Official. These new amendments also require that the Health Department accompany the <br />Building Official on the initial inspection of the facility’s permitting.
