Select Board <br />October 6, 2025 <br />Minutes <br /> <br />responsive bidder for each project. These contracts cover various municipal services, <br />including road treatment materials for winter operations. <br />Selectman Richardson raised questions about the environmental impact of treated salt <br />and emphasized the town’s ongoing efforts to protect water quality. Laurent reiterated <br />that public safety remains the top priority, and decisions must weigh the benefits and <br />impacts of each treatment method accordingly. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton that a contract for sand be awarded to <br />G.Lopes Construction, Inc., who submitted the lowest qualified bid of $26.80 per <br />ton. <br />Motion seconded by Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson <br />Vote: 5-0 Unanimous <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes <br />Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Selectman Cotton-yes <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes <br />Selectman Richardson- yes <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton that a contract for salt be awarded to Eastern <br />Minerals, Inc. who submitted the lowest qualified bid of $69.25 per ton. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br />Vote: 5-0 Unanimous <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes <br />Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Selectman Cotton-yes <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes <br />Selectman Richardson- yes <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton that a contract be awarded for pre-treated salt <br />to Mid-American Salt who submitted the lowest qualified bid of $89.75 per ton. <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
