5 <br /> <br />Community Preservation Committee <br />Minutes <br />May 16, 2024 <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />Reconsideration of OML 2023-158: <br /> <br />Correspondence was received from the Office of the Attorney General dated May 6, 2024 <br />relative to a reconsideration request regarding an Open Meeting Law complaint alleging the CPC <br />Committee deliberated outside of a properly posted meeting. <br /> <br />After reviewing the request for reconsideration of OML 2023-158 it was determined the <br />Community Preservation Committee did not violate the Open Meeting Law. <br />Chairman Russell indicated that a statement would be prepared for the upcoming Select Board <br />meeting to ensure the Select Board is aware of the OML determination. <br /> <br />Community Preservation Coalition: <br /> <br />It was agreed an updated roster of CPC Members would be forwarded to the Community <br />Preservation Coalition for newsletters and training programs. In reviewing projections for the <br />upcoming Trust Fund distribution, participating municipalities are requested to budget for an <br />anticipated 14.5% state match. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Review of CPC Financials: <br />The CPC Committee conducted a brief review of available balances in consideration for the <br />October 2024 Town Meeting. <br />LIAISON REPORTS <br />Liaison (new projects): <br />Liaisons were assigned to new CPA projects as follows; <br />Acquisition of Pickerel Cove: Arden Russell <br />Open Space & Recreation Plan: Mary Waygan & Judy MacDougall <br />Ashumet Pond Rehabilitation & Restoration Project: Michaela Wyman-Colombo <br />Heritage Park Improvements Phase II: Judy MacDougall <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
