4 <br /> <br /> <br />Community Preservation Committee <br />Minutes-Executive Session <br />August 15, 2024 <br /> <br />Present: Arden Russell, Richard Klein, Brian Hyde, Mary Waygan, Lynne Barbee, <br /> Michaela Wyman-Colombo, Judy MacDougall, Ted Schmuhl <br /> <br />Absent: Sandi Godfrey <br /> <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Russell at 6:49 p.m. <br /> Jehu Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />To consider the purchase, lease or value of the following parcel of real property; parcel 71-55 <br />located at 475 Nathan Ellis Highway pursuant to G.L. c. 30A, section 21(a)(6), with the Chair <br />having declared that an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position <br />of the CPC: <br /> <br />A brief discussion followed with respect to the appraisal received for the acquisition of 475 <br />Nathan Ellis Highway, a 7.10-Acre site on John’s Pond improved with a 2,764 square foot 4-unit <br />multi-family dwelling. <br /> <br />Motion made by Ms. Waygan to invite Jamie Regan to attend discussions in Executive <br />Session. <br />Motion seconded by Ms. Barbee. <br />VOTE: 8-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Ms. Russell, yes Mr. Klein, yes Mr. Hyde, yes Ms. Waygan, yes <br />Ms. Barbee, yes Ms. Wyman-Colombo, yes Mrs. MacDougall, yes <br />Mr. Schmuhl, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br />After review and consideration, it was agreed the Community Preservation Committee would <br />vote to make an offer to Mr. Regan, the full amount of the appraisal, and direct Town Counsel to <br />prepare a legal, written offer to include a copy of the subject appraisal. <br /> <br />Mr. Regan was receptive and it was agreed that with successful negotiations, the closing would <br />occur on or before the close of the 2024 year, and that a possible conservation tax credit would <br />be reviewed for additional consideration. <br /> <br />7:04 p.m. Mr. Regan left the meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
