A letter was submitted on behalf of the Conservation Commission, and an additional letter was <br /> submitted by the Environmental Oversight Committee (EOC). Residents and tribal members also independently <br /> submitted letters. Because the total project cost <br /> exceeds $50,000,the Town is required to proceed through a formal procurement process. <br /> o An RFP (Request for Proposals) was drafted by Town Counsel and is expected to be issued <br /> shortly to qualified contractors specializing in aquatic invasive treatment. Staff noted that <br /> there are only a limited number of such firms operating in Massachusetts.
