A letter was submitted on behalf of the Conservation Commission, and an additional letter was
submitted by the Environmental Oversight Committee (EOC). Residents and tribal members also independently
submitted letters. It was noted that the comment period closed at noon, and that the project is expected to be
posted in the Environmental Monitor on January 29 for a determination.
Updates: (*15 minutes) (Public Comment solicited for each update—3 minutes per comment)
• Red Brook Road Culvert(Waquoit Bay Research Reserve-grant assistance)
o Ongoing for grants
o Seeking landowner approval for the Red Brook grant
o Upcoming meetings with the tribe as well as some town residents to go over concerns
regarding the Mashpee River grant
• Upper Quashnet Restoration
o No update
• Johns Pond and Santuit Pond Milfoil
o Staff provided an update on aquatic invasive species treatment, noting that the Commission
had previously approved no-work conditions for this effort.
