He added that federal regulations <br />regarding PFAS have become less stringent, and that the Town may request additional <br />oversight. <br /> <br />Gottlieb further explained that the Executive O?ice of Compliance has regulatory oversight <br />of environmental standards for training activities and historic practices, including use of <br />firefighting foam containing PFAS. He noted that the federal government is phasing out the <br />use of such foam, and that the Town could request a briefing on enforcement and <br />compliance measures. <br /> <br /> Selectman Weeden expressed concern about cumulative impacts and suggested that <br />remediation of existing contamination should precede any new range activities.
