Select Board December 8,2025 Minutes (This space is reserved for topics that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate would be discussed) LIAISON REPORTS Selectman Richardson discussed the need to enhance community communication regarding events and activities in Town. He noted that in the past he had worked with Mashpee TV on a show called “What You Need to Know” and expressed interest in doing so again. He asked for suggestions on potential topics and requested that questions received from the public be shared, emphasizing that the intent is to provide information rather than political statements. Chair Wyman-Colombo reported on the Mashpee Wampanoag Thanksgiving ceremony on November 22 and the accompanying dinner at the Government Center. She noted it was a wonderful way to begin the holiday season. Chair Wyman-Colombo reported The Community Preservation Committee is currently reviewing ﬁve applications, including a couple from private entities for historic purposes, as well as a request from the Mashpee Housing Authority to utilize funds from the Town’s trust for housing-related projects. Chair Wyman-Colombo reported The Sewer Commission, represented by Mark Drainville, presented changes focused on the Waquoit Bay area. Letters were sent to approximately 1,200 residents impacted by Phase 2 of the project, and information was posted on the Sewer Commission webpage. Chair Wyman-Colombo reported The Recreation Department recent tree lighting event on Saturday was successful. The “Fill the Van” food drive collected 2.5 vanloads of donations, which were delivered to the Falmouth Food Center, the Wampanoag Pantry, and Christ the King Pantry. Additionally, the Chamber of Commerce delivered 213 meals the day before Thanksgiving. The Mashpee Parade is Saturday December 13 at 6 p.m. The theme is Coastal Cheer. 16
