MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> JANUARY 14, 2026 <br /> Mr. Reidy read an email from Fire Chief, Joe Peltier, into the record The Fire Chief comments <br /> dated December 8,2025,were read into the record; "In reference to 89 Industrial Dr., that building <br /> is fully sprinklered so each unit can store up to, but no more than, "1" boat. The owner still can <br /> place his "20"other boats outside so long as he does not interfere with the Fire apparatus driving <br /> around his building". <br /> The Board had a discussion and determined that the Fire Chief is satisfied with the depiction on <br /> the plan for the fire apparatus and is allowing one boat per contractor bay. <br /> Mr. Frank Gromley, an abutter, addressed the Board that the residential association in the <br /> neighborhood had fire safety concerns. The Board told him that the Fire Chief wrote a letter that <br /> he is satisfied and is allowing one boat per contractor bay, and up to 20 boats outside the building. <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked for a motion to close the public hearing. Mr. Furbush so moved. Mr. Reidy <br /> second. All were in favor. <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked for a motion for the application. Mr. Reidy made a motion that the Board issue <br /> a Special Permit Modification with the following conditions: <br /> 1. The Board has determined that the applicant meets all the conditions of a Special Permit <br /> Modification under Mass General Law 40A Section 9. <br /> 2. Boat Storage Site Plan: 89 Industrial Drive,Prepared by Cauley Site Services, LLC. Scale: <br /> 1" = 20', Dated 12/30/25. Stamped and signed by Richard J. Hood,PLS, No.: 3 503 1. <br /> 3. Conditioned on all Town Department comments read into the record including but not <br /> limited to the Board of Health, Conservation Department, and Fire Chief comments. <br /> 4. Any changes to the plans will require the applicant to return to this Board. <br /> 5. The Board finds under §174-25 G (6), and G (9) that the proposed modification to the <br /> existing Special Permit for 89 Industrial Drive can allow storage for one (1) boat in each <br /> unit. The owner can place up to twenty (20) boats outside if it does not interfere with the <br /> Fire apparatus driving around the building. <br /> Ms. Sangeleer, second, yes, <br /> Mr. Blaisdell, yes, <br /> Mr. Furbush, yes, <br /> Mr. Bonvie, yes, <br /> Mr. Reidy, yes. <br /> All were in favor to issue a Modification. <br /> 3 <br />
