Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, MA 02649
MOTION: To allow New Seabury Marina LLC to clear vegetation within the existing
tennis court footprint at 129 Dennis Island Road for the limited purpose of
assessing site conditions, including the condition of the clay surface and
associated structures with the following conditions:
1. that any work beyond clearing and exploratory activity—including
reconstruction, fencing replacement, or a change of use such as kayak
storage—shall require the filing of a Request for Determination of
Applicability or a Notice of Intent and further review by the
Commission.
Discussion: Chair Cook suggested adding a condition requiring the applicant to submit
a written report to staff after the site is cleared and assessed. Staff would
then determine whether a Request for Determination of Applicability or a
Notice of Intent is required for any future work.Commissioners agreed this
would clarify the appropriate filing process and allow staff to inform the
Commission of next steps prior to any formal submission, if necessary.
Motion bv: Richard Sahl Seconded by: Sandi Godfrey
Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote.
(Steve Cook, Paul Colombo, Sandi Godfrey, Seana Pitt, Richard Sahl)
• April 161" Quarterly Meeting Preparation
The Commission discussed preparation for the April 16th quarterly meeting and asked Commissioners to submit
agenda items to staff.
