Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Communication/Correspondence: (Public Comment solicited for each update): <br /> None discussed. <br /> • Additional Topics: <br /> (This space is reserved for topics that the Chairman did not reasonably anticipate would be discussed). <br /> MEPA Review—Mashpee/Wakeby Cluster Systems <br /> Mashpee/Wakeby Cluster Systems modifications are currently published and open for public comment. The materials, <br /> approximately 165-170 pages in length, were forwarded to Commissioners and staff for review. Staff clarified that the <br /> filing is an amendment to a previously approved MEPA review. The amendment is required due to the addition of the <br /> Gunters Lane project as an additional phase not included in the original review. The change constitutes a project <br /> modification requiring further environmental review. It was also noted that a Notice of Intent will be forthcoming to <br /> the Commission related to sewer connections associated with the Gunters Lane facility. <br /> Town Policy Acknowledgements <br /> Inquiry about previously distributed Town policy acknowledgements, including the anti-harassment policy. It was <br /> confirmed that the required documents had been signed and submitted. <br /> *NOTE: INDIVIDUAL HEARINGS WILL BE LIMITED TO 15 MINUTES IN LENGTH <br /> (More complex proposals may be granted additional time, if necessary,by the Chair) <br /> NOI 118 Shore Drive West, Stephen & Anna Maria Cortner. Proposed plant to relocate a path and <br /> perform vista pruning. (Representative: BSS Design, Inc.) (cont. 1.08) 43- <br /> 3385 <br /> Tom Bunker of BSS Design appeared on behalf of the applicants regarding the continued Notice of Intent for path <br /> relocation and vista pruning at 118 Shore Drive West. The matter had been continued pending a determination from the <br /> Natural Heritage &Endangered Species Program. <br /> Mr. Bunker reported that a"no take"letter had been received,resolving the primary outstanding issue. He also requested a <br /> two-week extension of the vista pruning window due to winter weather. Staff noted the filing qualifies under the existing <br /> extension policy and that work could proceed through mid-March. The applicant will coordinate a site visit upon recording <br /> of the Order of Conditions. <br /> Commissioners noted the Natural Heritage reference to piping plover habitat and discussed monitoring migratory activity <br /> beginning March 1, if necessary. <br /> MOTION: To close an issue for 118 Shore Drive West and to grant a two-week extension of the vista <br /> pruning deadline in accordance with the Commission's policy. <br /> Motion by: Richard Sahl Seconded by: Sandi Godfrey <br /> Discussion: The extension shall allow work to proceed within the approved fimeframe,subject to <br /> coordination with Conservation staff for a pre-work site inspection prior to commencement of <br /> any activity. <br /> Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote. <br /> (Steve Cook,Paul Colombo, Sandi Godfrey, Seana Pitt,Richard Sahl) <br /> 4 <br />
