They <br /> would count entering and exiting during peak hours and use that for their analysis. In looking at <br /> size and closest resembling with no alcohol sales on a main road in a similar part of the region <br /> they focused on Hingham being the most similar. The closest store from Hingham is Hanover, <br /> which is 10 miles away, and that mirrors the distance between Mashpee and Hyannis. <br /> Mr. Hansen wanted to point out that Hingham has excellent access to the parking area as well <br /> as superb delivery access, which differs from this site. <br /> Mr. Tobin discussed the Hingham store having higher traffic volume. One recommendation was <br /> identifying an appropriate benchmark to account for a greater seasonal spike in Mashpee <br /> during the summer. <br /> Ms. Sullivan referenced comment 34, 25% of trips coming to and from the south, and 75% <br /> coming from the North. They are looking at a bigger representation from Falmouth. A lot of <br /> updated analysis hinges on this upcoming new data for comment 33. <br /> Ms. Faulkner recalled the video simulation from a previous meeting, Shellback Way, Rt. 28, <br /> and Charles St., now part of the application record, as we said it appears inconsistent with <br /> current conditions. The Board acknowledged it wanted to see peak summer conditions. The <br /> video didn't show the Mashpee rotary or further down on Rt. 28, it did not show the backup <br /> down Jobs Fishing Road or Rt. 151. She also asked about certain technology being utilized. <br /> Ms. Sullivan stated yes, that simulation only focused on the Shellback Way intersection, it was <br /> not inclusive of the full network analysis in the study. <br /> Ms. Faulkner referenced comment 35, from the peer review on 2/6/26, the traffic engineer <br /> asked if Synchro was used for the traffic simulation. Our traffic engineer is saying it's a micro <br /> simulation tool that analyzes intersections in a vacuum but doesn't look at cumulative impacts <br /> of the storage length or delay. <br /> 7 <br />
