of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road North
.wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
The CPC was added to HP-3 as a responsible party; they adopt the plan and have financial
resources.
Ms. Waygan commented HP-4 and HP-8 were duplicates, it was decided to delete HP-4 and
keep HP-8, you don't want to have a dead action if something can't be built upon.
Ms. Costello added to HP-7 responsibilities, HC (Historical Commission)for wayfinding.
HP-9 should be combined with HP-14, regarding the naming of things in Town, and work
alongside the Historical Commission and Wampanoag Tribe. Insert HP-14, coordinating and
identifying historic names when retitling opportunities arise. For example, when Collins Lot was
changed to Community Park.
H P-10 was removed.
Ms. Waygan would like the 1998 LCP chapter on Historic Preservation to be added as an
appendix. Tom Fudalla worked very hard on a lot of first person testimony. A breakout box
could be included to say original 1998 LCP captured to show historic value.
On Table 6-1, the Mashpee One-Room Schoolhouse is now located in the Community Park.
Ms. Waygan would like to add more about the Archive Building near table 6-2. It is mentioned,
but there is nothing describing it. It is used for educational activities and themed tours. She left
a message with Richard DeSorgher to write a small paragraph about the Archive Building.
Ms. Waygan would like a breakout box added about the Wampanoag Tribe Historic
Preservation, their Preservation Officer is David Weeden and is a valued historic resource in
Mashpee. In addition, the Mashpee Wampanoag Museum located on Main St. should have a
breakout box.
Ms. Costello added the Demolition Delay Bylaw as its own bullet point.
Under 6.2, update the South Mashpee Schoolhouse no longer being on the list of historic
places.
3
