(cont. 1.08) 43- <br /> 3384 <br /> Chuck Roland of Cape & Island Engineering presented the proposal for 40 Popponesset Island Road on behalf of <br /> the applicant, outlining plans for a boardwalk,pier, ramp, and float system utilizing a fiberglass composite <br /> monopile design to reduce impacts within the resource area. He explained that the revised plan addressed prior <br /> Commission and agency comments by reducing the number of piles,relocating access stairs away from the salt <br /> marsh, increasing boardwalk height to provide greater separation from the marsh, and ensuring compliance with <br /> setback requirements from abutting properties. <br /> Additional updates included removal of certain tie-off piles, identification of boat locations, coordination with <br /> the Harbormaster, and incorporation of shellfish mitigation measures, as well as removal of existing structures <br /> and restoration of the area with beach grass. <br /> 5 <br />
