of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road North
.wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
was pleased with the delivery truck and fire access to site. She has a few conditions to
consider.
- Lighting: Light spilling onto Rockland Trust, it might not be okay at 9:OOPM. The applicant
team might want to revisit. If the bank is okay, it will be made clear.
- Crosswalk on Shellback: Proposing new sidewalk and accessible curb ramp, not accessible
ramp on Shellback to Rt. 28, will need permission from that owner.
Mr. Tobin wanted to switch gears to a couple other less timely agenda items in the interest of
time. He would like to pause the hearing and address Willow Circle and Country Club Estates
release.
MOTION:
Dennis Balzarini made a motion to continue the Public Hearing to 8:10PM.
Seconded by Karen Fualkner. All in favor.
After the break, the Hearing switched focus to traffic mitigation measures.
Emily Sullivan from Bowman Consulting provided the Board with updates to safety related
mitigations at the 6 identified intersections with high crash rates and operation impacts, local to
the project.
Ashers Path: Unsignalized location on Rt. 28. Safety for this location includes advanced
warning signage missing from southbound, and vegetation clearing to help site lines for turning
vehicles, and an advance warning sign for Meetinghouse Rd. stop sign. Right now, the only
intersection signage is northbound.
Rotary: Yield signage and pavement markings added to entry approaches to indicate
circulating vehicles have the right of way. Added pavement markings to prevent multiple
vehicles entering/exiting and a wide circulating lane with no pavement markings.
Ms. Waygan asked who approves the road lines and if they compared this to the retrofit study.
Ms. Sullivan answered this goes through MassDOT to approve all mitigations. She knows
there has been talk of updates for a long time.
10
