of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road NOYth
wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
Ms. Waygan reminded the Board that the South Cape development paid for that mitigation at
Charles St., it was built as a DRI and they paid for that road. They may have a problem if they
cannot benefit from one of their major entranceways.
Mr. Tobin stated it was worth thoroughly exploring how to troubleshoot this issue in such a way
that is fair to the applicant, before the Board takes a vote on the application.
Ms. Faulkner noted this is the intersection with most concerns, and any mitigation efforts
should be going to this intersection.
Mr. Balzarini doesn't understand why the Commission can't come to the Planning Board to get
their input, they are advisory, now they are ruling. They are not the governing body.
Ms. Waygan stated the Mashpee Rotary won't make people happy, and she would rather skip
that. We can take away the Rotary because MassDOT may have other plans. Ms. Waygan will
try and find that letter. What percentage of that $250,000 is being spent at Shellback?
Mr. Bogosian stated the majority is being spent on Shellback, but he will bring those figures
next time.
Ms. Sullivan answered the cost for the Shellback Way and Route 28 mitigation is $112,000.
Mr. Bogosian will go back to the Commission for approval. Ms. Waygan noted the DOT letter
has a lead engineer listed.
Redbrook Road: Most southern intersection with warning signage improvements, way finding
signage for cross streets, directionals, and vegetation trimming for site control.
Ms. Sullivan stated MassDOT would maintain the vegetation after they do it once.
Mr. Millbury asked if there was anymore research being done regarding the percentages
allocated to traffic flow?
Ms. Sullivan answered that the latest peer review was sent to Mr. Lucas, changes in terms of
trip generation will be reflected and discussed at the next hearing.
14
