Seconded by Karen Faulkner. All in favor. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mike Milbury: Yes, Rob Hansen: Yes, Karen Faulkner-Yes, Dennis Balzarini: Yes, Mary <br /> Waygan: Yes <br /> On Commons LLC Comprehensive Permit Application to authorize the construction of <br /> 65 rental units, including 17 affordable units under M.G.L. 40B <br /> The link was sent for the ZBA application, along with the comments that were sent into the <br /> state considering the eligibility letter. This Board should make a recommendation to the ZBA to <br /> apply for the Mass Housing Partnership technical assistance grant for a consultant to work with <br /> the Fire Department to carefully review that part. Our main concern is the Fire Department <br /> truck not being able to reach that height. <br /> Mr. Milbury and Mr. Balzarini are not in favor of four-story buildings; it deters from the character <br /> and beauty. <br /> The Board will have a comment period. They will apply for the Mass Housing technical <br /> assistance grant for technical support in dealing with the safety aspect of this project. We have <br /> a lot of control with 40B through public health, safety, and the Wetlands Protection Act. <br /> Mr. Hansen stated one elevator for 65 units at 4 stories high does not seem adequate. If <br /> anything were to happen to that one elevator, some people cannot walk up 3-4 sets of stairs. <br /> The Fire Department has access to the building from the side of Route 28, without them being <br /> on the road. Some vegetative buffer will be recommended. Water treatment is limited for <br /> discharge, the facility has capacity, but the discharge area does not. The parking lot design is <br /> failing. It would be nice for the kids to have a playground or swings for children who reside <br /> there. The entrance is too close to Route 28. <br /> This project needs to get unique nitrogen treatment capacity from Mashpee Commons. All of <br /> these potential sites for discharge don't have as much capacity as they originally anticipated. <br /> 20 <br />
