He would like to incorporate working collaboratively with other <br /> housing agencies. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Mike Sparkes made a motion to support the submission of two drafted Mission <br /> Statements, to be provided to the working group for approval. Seconded by Gerry <br /> Tutor. All in favor. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Denise Geoffrion made a motion to establish a working group comprised of the <br /> Town Planner, a Consultant, and an assigned representative from the Select <br /> Board, Affordable Housing Committee, and Affordable Housing Trust, for the sake <br /> of determining affordable housing needs, such as the implementation of a Land <br /> Bank or Land Trust, a full time Affordable Housing staff person, and other <br /> strategies that best align and support the housing efforts of Mashpee. Seconded <br /> by Sharon Muller. All in favor. <br /> Chair Sparkes stated this Committee gets so many consulting hours from DLTA Barnstable. <br /> We will be using that time to set up some direction, which might result in homework. The HPP <br /> consultant Alexis Lanzillotta would best direct this group to establish those missing pieces. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Presentation from HAC and POAH <br /> Brian Tobin, Town Planner is excited to continue the Speaker Series. He is pleased to <br /> introduce Mary LeClair this evening, the namesake for the LeClair Village project. LeClair <br /> Village is a very successful affordable housing project in Mashpee. Ms. LeClair has been <br /> instrumental to Affordable Housing efforts; she is the former Treasurer for Barnstable County <br /> and has remained very involved with HAC. Mr. Tobin introduced two other gentlemen, David <br /> Quinn of HAC and Cory Fellows of POAH, two agencies involved with the funding behind <br /> LeClair Village. He is excited to hear about the process of inception to construction. With that <br /> being said, he turned it over to Ms. LeClair. <br /> Mary LeClair introduced herself and is a Mashpee resident. When she was County <br /> Commissioner, she worked with David Quinn as a young AmeriCorps. He continued his work <br /> on Cape and joined HAC. It was such a pleasure to work with Mr. Fellows and POAH doing <br /> 2 <br />
