That is nonsensical and <br /> does not reflect impact of local residents. The curb cut beacon going to a driveway of 20 ft., if <br /> one car has to stop, the second and third car will be on Route 28. Anyone traveling Route 28 <br /> knows cars are weaving, mixing in and out. The mitigation offered no solutions. We didn't get <br /> anything but changing signal times. They claimed it was too expensive to expand two more <br /> lanes, and MassDOT has to clear changes. They never offered Mashpee Rotary data, Ms. <br /> Faulkner asked for a simulation. Mr. Adams suggested simulations rarely reflect reality, and <br /> their attorney noted we all have lived experiences, and he agrees, that doesn't come through <br /> on a screen, just ask the residents of Shellback Way. It's already congested and dangerous, <br /> and the abutters' concerns have not been adequately addressed. What are we looking forward <br /> to here? He likes Trader Joes. The store's popularity is obviously reflected in the petition of <br /> 1,800, but 60% of those petitioners are from Falmouth. Data doesn't reflect what that means <br /> and we have grossly underestimated this. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. <br /> Ms. Waygan understands the motion is to deny the project, therefore, a vote of yes will deny <br /> the project. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Karen Faulkner made a motion to approve Findings #34 & #35 and deny the <br /> project.
