Assistance ends with the <br />zoning request for proposal, and they help write that. <br /> <br />Mr. Tutor noted the Town of Mashpee has a parcel with a title problem, would this MHP <br />investigate that? <br /> <br />Ms. Shufelt stated they would see if there is a solution with eminent domain taking, it clears the <br />title. <br /> <br />MHPs Community Assistance <br />- Planning guidance <br />- Training webinars <br />- 40B lotteries, AFHMP (Fair Housing Marketing Plan), inclusionary zoning, ADUs <br />- Technical assistance for Affordable Housing trusts – twice a year trust forums <br /> <br />Complete Neighbors Initiative Program- Will assist the town in looking to make more <br />walkability throughout the town, sidewalks, or reconfiguration of roadways. They look at zoning <br />for top of shop or redevelopment on vacant properties. Complete neighborhoods have larger <br />grants. <br /> <br />Quasi-Public Agencies <br />- Massachusetts Housing Financing Agency <br />- Awarded annually to developers in homeownership developments of at least 10 new units <br />- 20% must be affordable, at or below 120% AMI <br />- Affordability remains for 10 years <br /> <br />Mr. Tobin knows of a similar model that has been available in gateways communities. Mashpee <br />is not recognized as a gateway community, but Barnstable is on Cape Cod. <br /> <br />Ms. Shufelt commented that commonwealth builders goes through gateway cities or old mill <br />cities like Fitchburg.
