<br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />May 18,2026 <br /> <br />Selectman Weeden expressed support for an outside legal review of bylaws and regulations <br />prior to developing training programs, stating that external input would help ensure best <br />practices and e?ective use of Town resources. <br />The Town Manager noted that any proposed work would require scope clarification and cost <br />estimates and could potentially be funded through legal expense accounts depending on <br />the extent of services. He also indicated that options could include policy review, model <br />policy drafting, or professional development sessions. <br />Selectman Cotton expressed concern that the proposed scope could function as an open- <br />ended expenditure and reiterated support for handling the matter internally through the Town <br />Manager and executive session processes. <br />Wyman-Colombo responded that the intent was not punitive but to establish a shared <br />understanding of regulations across all boards and departments.
