of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road NOYth
.wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
The Town Planner instructed Mr. Vanse to call the Planning Department's office tomorrow at
508-539-1414, to get updated information on his property. Any time a Public Hearing notice
goes out, it is sent to abutters, and abutters to abutters within 300ft, per state statute and rules
and regulations, the list is provided by the Assessor's Office and mailings are sent as a
certified mailer. On average, anywhere from 1-5% get returned because a person's contact
information was not updated.
Mashon Daves- He just found out about this meeting 25 minutes ago. To take the waterfront
from people isn't right. He has been fishing here for 36 years. When he was growing up it was
all woods, not a golf course, not many neighbors, and a lot of kids. The waterfront is
everything. He has kids now and great grandkids and he does bring the kids down there. A lot
of people who moved in and bought property are ignorant and have been rude for years. He
has been kicked out of the dock at the end of the road many times. What is the problem with
us being down there? He might be the youngest here, but he has seen a lot, and a lot has
changed. They are segregating the waterfront and the town.
Mr. Milbury noted they didn't have to entertain comments, he alerted everyone of Mr. Sherman
being the designated point person, and advised participants to keep apprised via the town
website for updated Planning Board information.
Mr. Hansen added that the condition of the right of way is currently blocked by lumber and dirt.
BOARD ENGINEER REPORT
Project Reviews & Inspections
Jean Christy doesn't have any updates other than houses being built in New Seabury.
Mr. Milbury commented on the immense dirt pile.
Ms. Christy is not sure where the pile came from, there is nothing that says they can't put
material from another project on this one.
Mr. Tobin stated they can add something to rules and regulations for either subdivision, special
permits, or both, that deals with the storage of materials. We can address this in practical
measures, with safety concerns. He will make a call to Nick Galanis.
Ms. Waygan informed the Town Planner of a similar instance happening somewhere else in
town and it being deemed an attractive nuisance, because kids were climbing the pilings.
Mr. Milbury added that many kids with a-bikes are going up and down the pile.
5
