It was confirmed <br /> that the property acquisition was estimated at approximately $140,000 to $150,000 and that the cost would be paid <br /> from NOAA grant funding already awarded for the project. <br /> o Upper Quashnet Restoration <br /> Mr. McManus reported that he had circulated an email providing information regarding the Upper Quashnet <br /> Restoration and requested confirmation that the matter could be placed on the agenda for the November 5 quarterly <br /> meeting. Proposed retrofit of the existing parking lot <br /> and installation of stormwater drainage improvements. (Representative: Tighe & Bond) 43- <br /> 3429 <br /> Christopher Houle, P.E., Senior Project Manager with Tighe & Bond, appeared on behalf of the Mashpee <br /> Department of Public Works regarding proposed stormwater improvements at Attaquin Park, 35 Lake Avenue. Mr. <br /> Houle was joined by Tighe & Bond representatives Catherine Rice, Corey Bracken and Nick Shaw, as well as DPW <br /> Director Catherine Laurent. <br /> Mr. Houle described the project as a redevelopment intended to improve drainage and water-quality treatment for <br /> the existing parking lot and a portion of Lake Avenue. Proposed work included two bioretention areas, an <br /> underground infiltration system, regrading and repaving of the parking lot and related site improvements. The <br /> project would reduce impervious area by approximately 2,587 square feet and raise the parking lot approximately <br /> two to three feet to improve drainage and separation from seasonal high groundwater. Work would be limited to <br /> previously developed areas, with no direct impacts to other resource areas. <br /> The bioretention areas were designed to treat runoff before it entered the underground infiltration system, which <br /> was designed to recharge the 10-year storm event without off-site discharge and reduce peak flows during larger <br /> storms.
